The blood is trailing to this house
When will they find us, they just might
I still worry if we're out of sight

To where he lays by the window
I rid his blood by my hands
So he'll snap out of this trance

Old buddy shivers in the night
I get up and start a light
The warming fire renews us our bodies so
And by morning he is once again a selfish bore
Just like before the accident
Now we can see what's in store

On the table a box of might
In plain sight

The reason for the big bad fight
Limping through the kitchen door
Old buddy anxious to see the score
His mouth salivating

Money and a brand new life

The box opened with my knife

In the silence the phone rings bright

My heart skips twice
The sirens in the distance
Elevate my fright
As the man on the phone is asking
"Are you alright?"

A knock on the door does nothing for the score
The phone drops
He pays no mind
To the sound as he creeps behind
With vase in hand he begins to thrash

With one blow
Two
Three
Then four
And suddenly I am on the floor

My final vision
My life is one big indecision
The door swings open
Old buddy's down with me
And right on key
The world begins to fade
I hear no more sirens
